This article will guide you on how to complete the objective of the side quest “The Importance of Aiding Ernesto” in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Starting Location
- This side quest is a sub-quest of another side quest “Halls of the First Dawn“. So players need to start the “Halls of the First Dawn” quest first.
To start the quest, go to Volcanic Island Camp. Talk to Ernesto near the northern gate and he should ask you to rescue Ciodhna and Gautstafr.
Aid in the evacuation of Volcanic Island
As the quest starts, the player should head west toward the quest marker to find Gaustafr and Ciodhna. Talk to them
Escort Gaustafr and Cliodhna
Once you convince them to evacuate, the player should start escorting Gaustafr and Cliodhna to Volcanic Island Camp. Defeat any enemies or monsters on the path.
Speak with Lamond
Next, the player should convince Lamond to evacuate too. Speak with Lamond near the hot geysers
Speak with Ernesto
Head back to Ernesto to end the quest.
