Dying Light 2: How to Climb the Larch Windmill

There are 17 Windmill Locations in the game and activating all Windmills unlocks the Don Quixote trophy and achievement. This walkthrough will guide you through everything you need to know on How to climb the Larch Windmill in Dying Light 2. This is the part of Main Story “Unruly Brother” and cannot be missed.

These Windmills are little parkour challenges that require you to climb to the top of the Windmill building. If you don’t have enough Stamina you can’t climb for long enough and will fall. You can increase your Stamina by collecting Inhibitors. 

LARCH WINDMILL – How to Climb to the Top

The windmill is located on the south side of Trinity district as marked on the map below. Climbing Larch Windmill needs some acrobatics. Use the two moving counterweights to climb the structure

Starting from the bottom of the structure, climb the boards on the side as shown below.

Now, turn around and walk on the metal beam to reach the other side. Wait for the moving weight to get to come down, the Jump onto it.

While standing or hanging on the moving weight, turn right. Jump and grab the wooden platform as the moving weight reaches the top.

Once again, you will see the second moving weight you can grab. Jump and grab the second moving weight. When the mechanism is at the top leap over to the metal ledge on the right.

Now, look around to spot a hole in the wall on the right. Crawl to the other side and then use the ladder to reach the top. At the top fix the fusebox to claim Birch Windmill.
