How to Unlock Formation Estate Domain | Inazuma | Genshin Impact 2.0

miHoyo has finally released Genshin Impact 2.0 update on 21st July 2021. Update 2.0 Introduces a new Japanese themed region, Inazuma, which the developers have been teasing for a long time now.

‘Formation Estate’ is one of the six Domains introduced in the newly introduced region of Inazuma in Genshin Impact 2.0. The formation Estate Domain is in the southwest portion of Yashiori Island at the location shown in the picture below. The area will be under heavy rain and you will need to make the rain stop to be able to unlock the domain.

Formation Estate: This estate once belonged to a lieutenant of Orobashi no Mikoto, until he, the body of his god, and the sky alike were rent open by a flash of lightning.


Step 1: Make the Rain Stop

To be able to open the Formation estate domain you will first need to stop the rain in the area. To stop the rain complete World Quests Orobashi’s Legacy Part 1,2 & 3. You will get Orobashi’s Legacy Part 1 world quest by talking to Kaji near Fort Fijitou at the location as shown in the picture below.

Step 2: Light the Torches

After the rain has stopped, go to the location near the Formation Estate Domain (Check the first picture in this page to see the location). Near the Formation Estate Domain, you will find a block-shaped switch surrounded by a red shield. Near the switch, you will find four torches as shown in the picture below. Light the torches and this will make the switch accessible.


Step 3: Unlock the Formation estate Domain

Once you have lit up the four torches mentioned above, the shield around the block-shaped switch will go away. Interact in the switch and the door to enter the domain will emerge from the ground.
