This guide shows how to complete the Like Rhyme and Song the Summer Reverie Quest in Gesnhin Impact 2.8 Summertime Odyssey event, which started on 15th July 2022 and will end on 24th August 2022.
Head to the Location of the Fatui Machine
As the quest starts, go to the small island on the north of Broken Isle as shown in the picture below. Interact with the broken Fatui Machine at the highlighted location to start a cutscene.
Find Persikov’s Manuscript
After the cutscene, go north of the broken machine and you will find Persikov’s Manuscript lying in front of a tent as shown in the picture below. Pick it up.
Find the Missing Crystalline Cores
To get each Missing Crystalline Core, you need to solve a very simple puzzle. Open Persikov’s Manuscript quest item as shown in the picture below. In Persikov’s Manuscript, you can see an ‘X’ mark, which signifies the location of a dial. You will see some Dots(.) and Underscores(_) marked below the ‘X’. A Dot means right and an underscore means left. So, if a dial has ‘.._’ written under it, that means you need to turn it Right-Right-Left. Turn all the dials in the correct direction to solve the puzzle.
The location of the three Crystalline Cores Puzzles is marked as ‘1’, ‘2’, and ‘3’ in the picture below.
You need to solve Persikov’s Manuscript puzzles to get the Crystalline Cores. The solution for each puzzle is mentioned below.

Northern Dial: Right-Left-Left
Southern Dial: Right-Right-Left
Crystalline Core 2
Northern Dial: Right-Left
Western Dial: Right-Left-Right
Eastern Dial: Left-Left-Right
Crystalline Core 3
Northern Dial: Left-Left-Right
Southern Dial: Right-Left-Right
Insert the Crystalline Cores into the Machine
Go back to the broken machine and insert the Crystalline cores. After a cutscene, go to the camp on the small island south of Broken Isle to complete the quest.
