This article will guide you on how to complete all the objectives of the side quest “The Sorcerer’s Appraisal” in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Note: This quest is like “Spellbound” where you need to collect the same books. To finish both in one playthrough, make forgeries of the books for Myrddin (Trysha’s father) and give him the fake copy, while giving the real books to Trysha.
Starting Location: The Sorcerer’s Appraisal
Requirement:
- Finish the Seat of the Sovran main quest.
- Myrddin will not speak with you unless you are wearing a Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches. (Available during The Stolen Throne Quest).
To start the side quest, speak with Myriddin at his house located in the Checkpoint Rest Town. Enter his house and speak with him to begin this quest. He will ask you to find him a list of books.
Bring Myrddin “Fulminous Shield”
Purchased the book from the trader named Dudley (NPC) located in Melve for 5000 G. You can find him standing near the north entrance.
Bring Myrddin “Towering Earth”
The towering Earth book can be obtained from Waldhar (NPC) after you rescue him during the main quest The Caged Magistrate. After the quest, you can find him in The Gracious Hand’s vaults (underground area) in the Slums.
Bring Myrddin “Let There Be Light”
This book is located on the second floor of Myriddin’s Home in Checkpoint Rest Town.
Bring Myrddin “Nation’s Death Knell”
It is inside a chest at F2 level located in the Waterfall Cave dungeon.
Bring Myrddin “Howling Blizzard”
It is inside a chest at F2 level located in the Waterfall Cave dungeon.
Once you have collected all the books give them to Myrddin to end the quest.
