miHoyo has finally released Genshin Impact 2.0 update on 21st July 2021. Update 2.0 Introduces a new Japanese themed region, Inazuma, which the developers have been teasing for a long time now.
Inazuma is the third of the seven regions of Genshin Impact relevant for main storyline progression. Prior to update 2.0, Genshin Impact had two explorable regions- Mondstadt (European Themed) and Liyue (Chinese Themed). The update brings new Archon quests (Main Story Questline) and 32 world quests. In version 2.0, three areas, Narukami Island, Kannazuka, and Yashiori Island in the Inazuma region will be available.
This article shows how to get to the new region, Inazuma, and the unlock criteria for the new Archon Quest.
How to Unlock New Region, Inazuma
To reach Inazuma you need to be Adventure Rank 30 or above and have to complete the new Archon Quest “Chapter 2: Act 1 – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”. Archon
How to Unlock Genshin Impact 2.0 Archon Quest
To be able to unlock Archon Quest “Chapter 2: Act 1 – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” you need to be Adventure Rank 30 or above and have to complete the Archon Quest “Chapter 2: Prologue – Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves”, which was released on June 29 of 2021.
Chapter 2: Act 1 – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia
If update 2.0 is live in your region and you satisfy all the unlock criteria, then simply open the quest menu and select the “Setting Sail” quest.
Your first objective will be to ‘Ask Katheryne for information on going to Inazuma’. Go to Liyue Adventurers’ Guild at the location as shown in the picture below and talk to Katheryne. Ask her about traveling to Inazuma. Your objective will now be updated to ‘Board the Alcor and find Beidou’.
For the new objective, you need to go to the location as shown in the picture below. The location is near the Domain of Guyun in the Guyun Stone forest. You have to fly or swim in order to reach the Alcor Ship.
Go to the top of the deck and talk to Beidou to start your journey to Inazuma. After a short chat, the screen will go black and you will arrive at Ritou in Inazuma.
