Step 1: Quest Starting Location (Ranni’s Rise)

Go to the top of Ranni’s Rise and talk to the Witch Ranni/ Renna as shown in the pictures below. She will tell you to find the Hidden Treasure of Nokron, the Eternal City.

Step 2: Talk to Spectral Iji, Blaidd, and Seluvis

After talking to Ranni, take the elevator to the lower level of Ranni’s Rise. Talk twice with Iji, once with Blaidd, and twice to Seluvis. Then talk to Ranni again to be able to leave the tower. Talking to Seluvis starts his questline. Click here to see complete Seluvis’s questline.

Step 3: Go to Nokron Eternal City

First, you will need to challenge and defeat General Radahan in Redmane Castle, which is in the southeast portion of Caelid as shown in the picture below. The trigger to get Radahan to accept your challenge is by defeating a certain number of bosses. The number of bosses you need to defeat for Radahan to accept your challenge is not yet clear. So, if Radahan is not accepting your challenge, then you will need to defeat more bosses. Radahn is a demigod. When you defeat him, there will be a meteor shower in the sky. One of the meteors will hit Limgrave and reveal an entrance to Nokron.

The entrance to Nokron is near Mistwood Ruins. Go to the location marked in the picture below. From there, start climbing down the rocks until you reach the bottom as shown in the second picture below.

At the bottom, you will see an entrance as shown below. Go through this entrance.

Now jump down to the lower level. From there jump further down. After that go straight ahead as shown in the picture below. As you walk through the gate shown in the picture below, you will enter the Nokron Eternal City.

Step 4: Get the Hidden Treasure in Nokron Eternal City

After entering Nokron, jump on the roofs to reach the slanted building. Then jump on the roof ahead of it as shown in the pictures below.

Then jump on the ledge ahead and climb up the window on the left side to enter the building as shown in the picture below.

From here, jump down and proceed straight ahead to reach the Nokron Eternal City Site of Grace as shown below.

From the SIte of Grace, walk out through the door. Then go through the gate on the right side as shown in the picture below.

After walking through the gate, walk down the stairs till you reach the bottom. Then turn right and proceed ahead until you reach Mimic Tear boss lair. Defeat the boss to unlock the path to the bridge on the north side.

Go north on the bridge and exit through the gate as shown below.

After exiting through the get, do down the path on the left side. Then follow the paved path as shown in the picture below.

Leave the paved path at the location shown below. Go left here to find the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace as shown in the pictures below.

Jump on the roof ahead of the Site of grace as. Then jump on the ledge further down below as shown in the pictures below.

Walk on the ledge to go to the west side of the building. Then jump down to the building on the right side and go right as shown in the pictures below.

After that, immediately turn left and jump down on the roof ahead. Then jump further down and take the path to the left as shown below.

Walk on the ledge ahead. Then jump down on the wall and climb up the window straight ahead as shown in the picture below.

After entering the building, jump down to the lowest level. Then go outside through the door on the right side and climb down the stairs.

After climbing down the stairs, turn right and keep moving north. Climb up the stairs at the end of the path. Enter the building ahead and open the chest to get the treasure, Fingerslayer Blade, as shown in the pictures below.

Step 5: Get Carian Inverted Statue from Ranni

Go back to Ranni and talk to her twice and she will give you Carian Inverted Statue as a gift.

Step 6: Use the Carian Inverted Statue

Go to the Carian study hall and place the Carian Inverted Statue on the pedestal as shown in the pictures below. This will make the building inverted.

Step 7: Head to the Divine Tower of Liurnia

After placing the Carian Inverted Statue, take the stairs to go behind the Carian study hall. Then jump down on the ledge below and walk over the window as shown below. Then walk ahead to reach the other side.

Jump over the platform on the left side. Move ahead and jump on the ledge below at the end of the platform. Walk on the ledge and jump down on the chandeliers down below until you reach the elevator as shown in the pictures below.

Take the elevator to the bottom. When the elevator stops, move straight ahead and open the door. You will be able to see the Divine Tower of Liurnia now as shown in the picture below.

Enter the Divine Tower of Liurnia and go to the roof. Collect the Cursemark of Death there. You will need the Cursemark of Death for Fia’s questline.

Step 8: Use the Teleporter in Renna’s Rise

Go to Renna’s Rise, which is near Rann’s Rise as shown in the picture below. Climb to the top floor and use the teleporter there. This will teleport you to Ainsel River Main Site of Grace.

Step 9: Get the Miniature Ranni and Talk to it

After getting teleported to the Ainsel River Main Site of Grace, pick up the Miniature Ranni doll right in the front as shown below.

Then rest at the nearby Site of Grace and talk to Miniature Ranni thrice to make her talk. She will ask you to “Eliminate the Baleful Shadows which prowl these lands”.

Step 10: Defeat Baleful Shadow in Nokstella

After getting teleported to the Ainsel River Main Site of Grace, keep following the river and you will reach Uhl Palace Ruins. Go through the gate with two big statues on either and continue following the river. It will lead you to Nokstella Eternal City. Climb up the stairs straight ahead as you enter Nokstella Eternal City, as shown in the picture below.

At the top of the stairs, go to the path straight ahead and turn left at the end.

Climb up another set of stairs and then take the first right as shown in the picture below.

Climb up the stairs on the left side as shown below and enter the room on the right side at the top of the stairs. Go out from the left door in this room and enter the building straight ahead as shown in the second picture below.

Go out from the door on the left side of this building.

Then jump down and take the elevator to go down to the lower level.

After the elevator stops, go out and take the elevator on the right side. It will take you to one level further below.

When the elevator stops, go straight ahead in the linear path and you will reach Baleful Shadow in a short while as shown in the pictures below. On defeating Baleful Shadow, you will receive Discarded Palace Key.

Step 11: Defeat the Boss Astel

After defeating Baleful Shadow, go through the door ahead and take the elevator down below to reach the Lake of Rot. You need to cross the lake of rot and go to the building on the right side. You will get the Scarlet Rot statues while crossing the river. Eat Boluses to cure Scarlet Rot. Click here to know where you can purchase Boluses.

To cross the Lake of Rat, make your way to the pillar platform in the lake as shown below.

Stand on the switch near the pillar, this will make a platform appear on the crimson water. Wal on this platform and make your way to the next pillar. Continue this until you reach the building at the other side of the lake of rot.

Continue ahead in the building to reach the SIte of Grace. From there, go west and jump on the ledge ahead on the right side. Then jump on the ledge below as shown in the picture below.

Continue on this ledge and jump to the ledge below. From there, jump down to the lowest level.

Continue in the west direction until you reach a building as shown below. Don’t enter the building. Take the path on the left instead.

Interact with the coffin at the end of the path. This will take you to the Astel boss lair. Defeat the boss to get Rememberance of the Naturalborn spirit ash.

Step 12: Get Dark Moon Ring

Go to Raya Lucaria Grand Library and use the Discarded Palace Key to open the chest inside as shown in the picture below. You will get Dark Moon Ring from the chest.

Step 13: Go to Cathedral of Manus Celes

Go back to Astel Boss Lair as shown in the picture below.

Then leave the lair through the tunnel as shown below. Take the elevator to the top. Go out from the elevator to reach Moonlight Altar.

Then make your way to the Cathedral of Manus Celes on the right side as shown below.

Step 14: Put the ring on Ranni’s Finger

Jump down the hole on the ground near the Cathedral of Manus Celes Site of Grace, as shown in the picture below. Keep jumping down until you reach the underground area. Put the Dark Moon Ring on Ranni’s finger. This will complete the quest and you will get Dark Moon Greatsword. Now, you can summon Ranni at the end of the game for the “Age of Stars” ending. If you go back to Ranni’s Rise, you will find Blaidd outside. He will fight you there and you will get Blaidd’s Armor set and Blaidd’s Greatsword after defeating him.
